Gila Aging Services provides case
management, respite, community service,
information and referral, prescription drug assistance, food
programs and adult day care.
Who We Serve:
elderly and/or disabled persons over age eighteen, living in
rural Arizona Counties, with supportive and enabling programs
designed to keep them independent living at home.
What We Do:
The Community Service Program is an effort by the administrative
team designed to:
•
Assess community needs.
• Seek community input.
• Establish ways to meet those needs. The Multi-county Elderbuilders®
Project, the Prescription Assistance Program, the Respite Programs,
Home safety and security programs (guardian angels) and Adult Day
Activities Programs are recent testaments to this mission.
• The Prescription Assistance Program aids individuals through the
process of obtaining prescription medications directly from the
pharmaceutical companies for little or no cost.
• The Arizona Elderbuilders Project provides volunteers to help
homebound persons with services that may include: transportation,
minor repairs, yard work, shopping, companionship, light
housekeeping, respite, and other services as needed.
• "Memory Lane" "White Mountain Memories" and "Our Precious Moments"
are adult activity centers which focus on social and activity
programs for persons with mild to moderate memory impairments and/or
physical disabilities.
Enhancing the health, dignity, and independence of elderly
and/or disabled persons, through enabling programs and community
access.
